Veliki Tabor Castle is hosting a puppet show festival

Come to the Old Castle of Veliki Tabor in Desinic, in the western part of Hrvatsko Zagorje. You will find a rich programme of puppet shows and workshops prepared for you by professional and amateur theatres from Croatia and Slovenia. Entrance to the castle and all the programs are free.

The lineup: Puppet studio “Kvak”, Zagreb, Graj puppet theatre Sevnica, Slovenia, World of puppets, Zagreb, KRUNA TARLE-art, Zagreb, Puppet theatre “Lutonica Toporko”, Samobor, Association “Pjetlic Zlatorestic”, Zagreb, Puppet theatre “Za Bregom”, Zagreb, Medieval traveling puppet theatre IOCULATORS, Veliki Tabor Castle.

In addition to puppeteering performances and workshops, we expect jugglers and music performances. All visitors will be able to see all exhibitions in the Castle of Veliki Tabor, among which we single out the exhibition of dolls of the Medieval traveling puppet theatre IOCULATORS.

Both days, the program ends with 3D video-mapping projections on the inner walls of Veliki Tabor at 20:00 hrs. The video mapPING legend on Veronika Desinic was created by the company PandoPad from Samobor, while the video mapping Living Tabor was created by the Mediimurje College in Cakovec.

The program is part of THE Living CASTLES/Network of “living” castles as a form of sustainable tourism for the preservation and promotion of cultural heritage, and it is implemented within the framework of the Interreg V-A Slovenia - Croatia 2014-2020 cooperation program financed by the European Regional Development Fund.

The program starts at 14:30 on Saturday and 15:00 on Sunday.

The festival will take place in accordance with the recommended epidemiological measures in view of the COVID-19 pandemic.
