Multimedia kiosk for The Reef Hotel Casino

The Reef Hotel Casino is a luxury hotel located in Cairns, Queensland which put an emphasis on quality, sophistication and elegance for its guests. Its central location and recognizable friendly Australian character amaze guests, and it is a favorite place for visitors from Australia and abroad. In order for The Reef Hotel Casino to provide its guests with more information about hotel facilities, various events, casino services, and easier orientation, an interactive kiosk has been set up.

The hotel is part of the Reef Casino complex, which offers various restaurants, bars, and luxury accommodation for its guests. The hotel has 128 hotel rooms and is jointly owned by Casinona Austria International Limited and Accor Casino Investments (Australia). Its unique design combines modern and classic styles and captures the uniqueness of tropical northern Queensland.

Background

In order for The Reef Hotel Casino to easily display the content and various information about the hotel itself, a decision was made to implement an interactive kiosk.

Challenge

Deliver a quality visually impressive and at the same time cost-effective solution in the form of an interactive kiosk that will be well noticed and accepted by hotel guests.

Our approach

The solution needed to be equipped with a package of centrally managed multimedia applications and in the creative part of the project it was necessary to develop visual content and design user interfaces.

With the application of our products: PandoPad® Manager, PandoPad® Applications, and PandoPad® FLOOR 22 units, all interactive services necessary for informing and presenting The Reef Hotel Casino have been realized.

The housings of the PandoPad interactive units are modern, attractive in appearance, specially designed for indoor installations and easy installation. The screens are of the most modern technology, high brightness, and easily fit into the space.

Visitors have the opportunity to explore the rich content of various events at The Reef Hotel Casino, view various brochures, videos, photos, and promotional content.

Through the interactive kiosk, it is also possible to evaluate the entire experience with application PandoPad® Customer FeedBack.

PandoPad® Quiz is an ideal way to prepare interactive knowledge quizzes. The characteristics of the application are that it offers the possibility of a different number of questions, the possibility of entering several possible answers, a timer required for answers, and the display of the best result.

In this example, we see the PandoPad® eCard application through which users can select one of the offered images and send a virtual / digital postcard using the integrated e-mail system.

In this example, we see the PandoPad® Local/Outdoor Way Finder application that offers a location map. Locations are entered as 'points of interests' (POIs) on stylized maps or floor plans using the PandoPad® Manager. It displays more detailed information or the path from where the PandoPad is located to the selected point.
