The construction of a new hospital in Al Ain is considered as one of the most important healthcare projects thar provides high quality health services in line with the best international practices in the United Arab Emirates. In order for the hospital to provide all the necessary information to its patients and enable easy navigation through the various departments, a decision was made to implement interactive applications in the hospital space.
The project of building the new hospital was worth over $1.2 billion and is carried out by the Abu Dhabi General Services Company (Musanada) in collaboration with the Abu Dhabi Health Services Company (SEHA). The new hospital is equipped with 719 beds, including 510 beds for general medicine, surgery, pediatric department and maternity suites, 67 for intensive care, and 142 for medical rehabilitation. It also includes 104 advanced specialized clinics, 17 radiology rooms for X-ray, CT and MRI services, as well as 22 specialized rooms for endoscopic diagnosis.
In order to provide its patients with all the necessary information about departments, staff, and easier hospital navigation, Al Ain Hospital has decided to implement interactive applications in hospital spaces such as hallways and waiting rooms.
Deliver a quality, visually impressive, and at the same time cost-effective solution in the form of interactive applications that will be well noticed and accepted by Al Ain Hospital patients.
The solution needed to be equipped with a package of centrally managed multimedia applications, and in the creative part of the project it was necessary to study the hospital structure, departments and services, develop visual content and design user interfaces.
With the implementation of our solutions: PandoPad® Manager and PandoPad® Applications, all interactive services necessary for information and navigation in the premises of Al Ain Hospital have been realized. Patients can thus find out all the necessary information about the hospital staff, services and departments, hospital space, etc.
In this example, we see the PandoPad® Local Way Finder application, which serves as a display of the hospital plan and individual departments. Locations are entered as POI on stylized maps or floor plans using the PandoPad® Manager, touching which displays more detailed information or the path from where the PandoPad is located to the selected point.
In this example, we see the PandoPad® eCard application through which users can select one of the offered images, and send a virtual / digital postcard using the integrated e-mail system.
