As part of the EU project ′′ Water Secrets of Slunj ′′ co-financed from the regional development fund, the new tourist information center was opened in the heart of Rastoke. The facility is equipped with modern equipment for presentation of the offer and content of Slunj-Rastoke destination and allows visitors to access all information in one place.
Rastoke, a watermill pearl of the Slunj area, created by a whim of nature where the green and blue Slunjčica river flows over the travertine barriers into the Korana river, thereby creating a multitude of waterfalls, rapids, small lakes and cascades. Just in that dissolved terrain, elevations in the form of water flows and waterfalls, man created the Rastoke settlement. Among other things, Rastoke witness of the impressive harmony between the nature and human achievements whereby the power of the water was used as the main mill drive.
In order to show its visitors the beauties of Rastoke in the simplest and most accessible way, the tourist board of Slunj decided to equip the tourist information center with multimedia as part of the project "Water Secrets of Slunj".
The challenge was to position the city of Slunj on the domestic and foreign tourist market as an attractive destination through a new, modernly equipped information center.
It was necessary to design the interior arrangement of the center and create individual elements of the multimedia exhibition that will connect and activate the tourist potential of Rastoke through new textual, image and video content.
A specially designed interactive wall with PandoPad® WALL unit, instructions for a mobile application that reads QR codes, and raster for blind and visually impaired people which plays the audio guide. An additional PandoPad® WALL unit, a projector system, and a large PandoPad® Applications package are also included. Multimedia solutions are flexible and centrally managed, and allow easy content updates for administrators at any time.
The housings of PandoPad interactive units have a modern, attractive design intended for indoor installations. The screens are made with the help of most modern technology, they support high brightness, and they easily fit into the space.
The interactive wall, designed as a panel with points of interest in the Slunj area, contains an interactive screen with applications through which visitors can explore the beauties of Slunj, and instructions for using a mobile application that scans and reads QR codes.
Interactive units contain a set of PandoPad applications that allow visitors to take a look at various albums, brochures, video content, instructions for the mobile application, and enables them to send digital postcard and play interactive games.
Visitors can listen to various stories about Slunj using the raster for blind and visually impaired people.
The design of the furniture for the info desk and the main room for the multimedia presentation is in line with the design guidelines provided by the branding of the destination - simple lines, combinations of white and natural wood colors.
Interactive multimedia solutions enable visitors to interact with the center's functions in a unique, modern, informative and fun way.
